Minimum Propeller Diameter

It comes as a surprise to many that there is a minimum propeller diameter for a particular hull shape.  If your vessel VIBRATES under power, is slow to respond to power input and doesn't work well in reverse the propeller may be too small for the application. "There is no substitute for optimum propeller diameter!"
When working out engine size, gear ratios, etc., always select the biggest prop diameter that will turn in the aperture provided by the designer and work forward from there.
